Who created and publishes THIS IS HARDSTYLE?

THIS IS HARDSTYLE was created and published by Anthony Donner, a lifelong hardstyle enthusiast who believed the scene deserved a book of its own. With more than 28 years of experience as a creative director, photographer, filmmaker, writer, and publisher, he brought every aspect of this project to life himself. Anthony is the former Editor-in-Chief of DJ Mag NL and Pleasure Magazine. He is also the creator and publisher of Dutch DJs, the world's largest book about DJs, featuring 300 Dutch DJs, producers, and dance industry professionals, each personally interviewed and photographed in their home or studio. The book received coverage from more than 200 media outlets worldwide. Other milestones include creating the world's first custom DJ magazine, Dutch DJs Magazine, publishing books about entrepreneurs and elite athletes and co-creating seven world record-breaking DJ marathons, featuring more than 1,300 DJs performing continuously for a combined total of 60 days. The events were covered by more than 300 media outlets worldwide.

Why did this project take 5 years to complete?

THIS IS HARDSTYLE took five years to create because every artist was personally interviewed and photographed in their own home or studio. More than 160 artists participated, requiring over 40,000 kilometres of travel across Europe. Beyond the interviews, the project involved years of research, photography, filmmaking, editing, collecting archive material, fan photos, obtaining artist approvals, designing the book, and preparing it for publication. Every step was carried out by creator Anthony Donner, making this a truly independent project built from the ground up.

Is the book signed?

Yes. Every book is personally signed by creator Anthony Donner.

Can I return the book if I'm not satisfied?

Yes. If you're not completely satisfied, you may return the book within 14 days of delivery. To be eligible for a refund, the book must be unopened and the original plastic seal must still be intact. Unfortunately, we cannot accept returns of opened books, as they can no longer be sold as new.

Will I receive a VAT invoice with my order?

Yes. After completing your order, you will automatically receive a VAT invoice by email.

Is het boek verkrijgbaar als e-book?

Nee. De volledige ervaring — de fotografie, de schaal, 950 pagina's in uw handen — werkt alleen in gedrukte vorm. Dat is het enige formaat dat we uitbrengen.
